What’s the funniest book of the year?
This Valentine’s Day make sure your school falls in love with reading! Join in and watch the Lollies award ceremony LIVE from your classrooms!
The Laugh Out Loud Book Awards
In June 2018, Michael Rosen announced the shortlist for the Lollies aka ‘The Laugh Out Loud Book Awards’ 2018 – a truly hilarious selection of books for children of all ages.
Since then, schools and children in the UK and Ireland have been voting for their favourites in each of the three categories: Picture Books, Books for 6–8-year-olds and Books for 9–13-year-olds. Now that the tens of thousands of votes have been counted, it’s time to announce the winners!
Attend the awards – from your classroom!
Scholastic are offering schools the chance to join in the celebrations with an amazing free live-stream where your pupils will be able to follow all the fun and action from the Lollies. Clear your school calendars between 11.00am and 12.00pm on Thursday 14th February and tune in to hear from the Lollies judges, see Michael Rosen and an exciting line-up of guests live, and find out which books you voted for as the funniest of the year!
